We are so proud to have incredibly talented artists on stage at this years Woofstock UK. So let’s introduce them in order of how they will be playing on the day……………….
Nick the Fish
Yes you read it right, Nick the Fish! As you can tell Nick is not a fish but that is his stage name and he comes from Devon. Nick is an amazing guitarist who plays a great mix of covers and has a quirky sense of humour too. Nick kick starts the music on stage at this years festival and is on stage at 1pm.
Alex Hart is from Devon. Alex is another amazing guitarist and does a mix of covers and originals. She is not long back from touring Europe with Martin Barre from Jethro Tull and is currently working on some new material with some very talented musicians. She has been lucky enough to work with the likes of Terry Britten (grammy award winner for Tina Turner’s ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’) and is currently spending time recording at State of the Ark studios in Richmond with her band.
Alex and her band played at the Looe Music Festival on the main stage. Alex loves performing live, either solo or with her band and have been lucky enough to have played at some legendary venues including the Troubadour, Ronnie Scotts and many concert venues around Europe. You can find out more about Alex and her band here http://www.alexhart.com/
We are proud to have this amazingly talented woman at this years festival playing solo. Alex is on stage at 2pm.
We are so thrilled to have The BeauBowBelles back with us for a second time. They are a London based four-piece band of foot stomping, harmony singing swing folkers. They dragged themselves from their classical roots through the earth of folk, the dusts of country and the fires of gypsy swing.
Their distinctive sound combines the swing, wit and class of a vintage vocal harmony group with the depth, heart and energy of a contemporary English folk band. Their live shows are both virtuosic and glamorous with close-part harmonies, driving rhythms and soulful melodies.
The Beaubowbelles have played Glastonbury twice as well as Bestival, Wilderness Festival and Secret garden to name a few. You can find out more about The Beaubowbelles here http://thebeaubowbelles.com/
They will definitely get you up dancing and are on stage at 3pm.
Bert Miller usually plays with his band The Animal Folk but this year we have the privilege of having Bert Miller performing solo for us. Bert has a quirky style and that’s an understatement! All original music centred around animals and the planet. With song titles like “Don’t eat your friends”, “Monkeys” and “Bunny Huggers” I think you may just get the gist of what Bert is all about!
Bert Miller and The Animal Folk have played Galstonbury three times and have also played Plymouth Volksfest and Greenbelt Festival to name a few!
You can find out more about Bert Miller and The Animal Folk here http://bertmiller.uk/ Bert is on stage at 4pm.
Last but by no means least our headline act closing this year’s Woofstock UK I give you Reggie’s band. Reggie’s band is a family group and was formed by their father “Daddy Perrin” and originally called “Left Right and Centre” (LRC). LRC became hugely popular locally helping raise huge sums of money for local charities as well as entertaining crowds for many years. Now this amazing band has been handed on hence the new name Reggie’s band. They play gigs across Devon combining their enormous talent to bring you well known covers that are sure to get you up and dancing. We are proud to have Reggie’s band seeing us out at this years Woofstock UK and they will bring the festival to a close on a high.
